The feed cone is made of S235JR steel: high tenacity steel, excellent workability and weldability. After calendering and subsequent welding, the cup is turned to size to guarantee the right dimensional tolerances.
The feed cone plays a fundamental role in feeding the die and more precisely in the uniform distribution of the product to be pelleted. In practice, the cup receives the product coming down from the front conveyor and accompanies it in rotation, presenting it to the front deflectors which distribute it evenly between the two rollers of the press.
