The reinforcing flange of the die is made of forged C50 steel, induction tempered and turned with very tight finishing tolerances because it must "tighten" the die as much as possible
Considerable efforts are involved in dicing because the rollers press against the die with a high specific and alternating pressure. The reinforcing flange therefore plays a very important role in the resistance of the die which could otherwise break.
